One of the photos I’m working on for my newest post on Maui by Photo, of Baldwin Beach in Paia.

This spot was on our radar last February, but we didn’t make it there until our most recent trip. The couple you see walking there asked me to take their picture with the tiny little point-and-shoot they had. She was about 8 months pregnant and the two of them didn’t seem to have a care in the world.

Had I been thinking like a true photographer, this would be the time I’d share a close-up shot of their blissful faces I had taken for my portfolio. But alas, I’m not used to thinking that way until after the moment passes.

Some day, for sure.
